Terms of use
These terms cover the Comment Downloader Chrome extension, our server, the AI assistant connector, the API and the commentdownloader command line tool. By using them you agree to these terms.
1. What Comment Downloader does
Comment Downloader reads comments, reviews and public ads from pages you choose, in your own browser, and can turn a collection into a written report. Reports are written by an AI model and can be wrong or incomplete. Check the quotes behind any finding before you rely on it.
2. Your account
You sign in with a Google account. Keep access to it secure. You are responsible for what happens through your account, your connected AI assistants and your API keys. You must be at least 16 years old.
3. Using it responsibly
- Collect only pages you are allowed to open, and follow each site's own terms. Some sites, including Meta's, do not allow automated collection, and using Comment Downloader on them is at your own risk. We cannot promise any account is risk free.
- Comments and reviews belong to the people who wrote them. Do not republish personal details, and do not use collected content to harass, profile or target individuals.
- Do not try to get around the extension's pacing and limits, overload any site or our server, share accounts or keys, or resell access.
- Do not use Comment Downloader for anything unlawful.
4. Free plan and limits
Collecting is free. The free plan includes 5 reports a month, 3 brands and 3 listening phrases. We may change limits or introduce paid plans; paid plans will have their own clear price and terms before you pay anything. A report that fails is not counted.
5. Your content and ours
You keep whatever rights you have in your collections and reports. You give us only the permission needed to process them to provide the service, as described in the privacy policy. Comment Downloader's software, name and design remain ours.
6. Availability
Sites change how their pages work, and a source can stop working or return fewer results without notice. We fix what we can, but we do not guarantee any source, result or uptime. Sources marked beta read only what the page itself publishes.
7. No warranty, limited liability
Comment Downloader is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or data, or for actions a third-party site takes on your account. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or 50 US dollars if you paid nothing.
8. Ending use
You can stop using Comment Downloader and delete your data at any time (see the privacy policy). We may suspend access that breaks these terms or puts the service or others at risk.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and material changes will be shown in the extension.
