A GummySearch alternative
GummySearch stopped taking new users in November 2025, and its lifetime access ends November 30, 2026. If you used it for Reddit research, here is what Comment Downloader does, and what it does not.

What it exports
- Discover threads: search Reddit (and YouTube) for a topic and collect the threads you pick
- Every comment in a thread, including "load more", with upvotes and replies
- Listening: up to 3 phrases free, new mentions tagged complaint, question, switching or praise, with Chrome notifications
- AI reports: pains, desires, objections, ad angles, hooks, audience profiles and short ad scripts, each citing the real quotes
- 24 more sources in the same place: TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Amazon, Trustpilot, app stores and more
Honest limits
- Comment Downloader reads Reddit from your own browser, not through the Reddit API, so an API change cannot switch it off the way it did GummySearch.
- It does not have GummySearch's saved audiences or subreddit size analytics. It works thread by thread and search by search.
- There is no import from GummySearch.

- Search a topic with Discover threads, or paste a thread you already know.
- Collect the threads, set up to 3 listening phrases for new mentions.
- Run Find angles on a thread, or Compare to put several threads in one report.
